Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Lake Charles Insulation Company website and any work you hire us to do. When you use the site, call us, send our form or accept an estimate, you're agreeing to them, so please read them before you book.
If a written estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the written estimate or contract controls for that job. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site or book work with us.
What we do
Lake Charles Insulation Company is an insulation contractor in Lake Charles, LA. We insulate attics, walls, crawl spaces and commercial buildings, and we also remove old insulation, air seal, which means closing gaps before we insulate, and install vapor barriers. You'll find the full list on our home page, and more about who we are on our About page.
The website is general information. It isn't advice for your particular house, and nothing on it is a binding offer. The work we'll do for you is what your written estimate describes.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and obligation-free, and we give them after we've looked at the job on site. The price depends on the size of the area, what's already up there, which material you choose, how hard the space is to reach and whether old insulation has to come out first.
An estimate is based on what we can see before work starts. If we open up an attic or crawl space and find something we couldn't see before, such as soaked or contaminated insulation, droppings, rot or damaged wiring, we'll stop, show you, and explain the cost. We won't do extra work that changes the price until you've approved it.
Unless your estimate says otherwise, it's good for 30 days, because material costs and our schedule can change after that.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you, and we'll call if weather, material delays or an earlier job running long pushes it back. Start dates are our honest target, not a guarantee, and we aren't responsible for delays we can't control.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to clear stored items out of the way, or let us know ahead of time so we can plan for it. With some products, especially spray foam, you and your family and pets will need to stay out of the house for a set time, and you agree to follow the crew's instructions on when it's safe to come back.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials or done work for your job, you may be responsible for those costs, and your estimate will say how that's handled.
Payment
Payment is due when the work is finished unless your written estimate sets out a different schedule. Larger jobs may call for a deposit before we start, and if so the estimate will say how much and when.
If a balance goes unpaid, we may charge reasonable collection costs where the law allows, and we keep any right the law gives us to secure payment for work on your property.
Our work and warranty limits
We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our workmanship. If something we installed wasn't done right, call us and we'll come back and look at it.
Materials carry the maker's own warranty, and we'll pass along any warranty paperwork you're due. We don't give any warranty beyond what's in your written estimate or the maker's terms.
Insulation helps with comfort and the power bill, but how much depends on your house, your habits, your heating and cooling system and the weather. We don't promise any specific savings, temperature or result.
Our warranty doesn't cover damage from storms, flooding, roof or plumbing leaks, pests, or work done by anyone else after we leave.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Lake Charles Insulation Company isn't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your home, lost income or higher energy costs, that come from our work or from using this website.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability on any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing here limits a right that the law says can't be limited.
Resolving a disagreement
If something's wrong, call us first at (337) 474-1146 or reach us through our contact page. Most problems get settled with a conversation and a return visit.
If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before either of us goes to court, unless one of us needs urgent relief that can't wait.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Any court case about them or about our work will be handled in the courts of Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, unless the law of the place where the work was done requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time by posting a new version on this page. The terms in place when you accepted your estimate apply to that job, and the current version applies to your use of the site from then on.
Questions about these terms
If anything here is unclear, call us at (337) 474-1146 or send a note through our contact page, and we'll reply within 1 business day.
