About our Lake Charles insulation company

Who we are, how we work and what to expect once you call us about your attic, walls or crawl space.

How I started insulating homes in Lake Charles

I learned insulation and building upkeep on a municipal crew, where every job got written up and checked before anyone signed off. That habit stuck with me. In 2023 I started Lake Charles Insulation Company to bring the same careful way of working to homes and businesses in Lake Charles, and you can see everything we do on our home page.

Most calls start with something you can feel. An upstairs room stays hot, a hallway is drafty, the power bill keeps climbing, or the insulation in the attic looks tired and flat. Property managers call us about commercial buildings too. Either way, I want to see the space before we talk about material, because the right fix depends on what's really up there.

What I care about most is catching problems before they get covered up. If I find a roof leak, wet wood or wiring that needs a look, I show you and we plan around it before any insulation goes in. New insulation laid over a soaked or dirty layer just hides the trouble, and you end up paying for it twice.

How we handle every insulation job

Three habits shape every attic, wall and crawl space we work on. They come from how I learned the trade, and you'll notice them from the first visit.

We look before we quote

I go into the attic, under the house or behind the access panel and write down what I find, like how many inches are already there, gaps around lights and pipes, and whether the eave vents are clear. The quote is built from those notes, so the plan fits your house and not a guess.

Air sealing is in the plan

A house can have plenty of insulation and still feel drafty when air slips through gaps around can lights, pipes and the attic hatch. That's why air sealing, closing those gaps before the insulation goes in, is part of our plan from the start and not an extra on your bill.

Straight answers on materials

Spray foam costs more, and it seals air while it insulates. For a lot of houses, sealing the gaps and topping up with blown-in insulation, loose fill blown through a hose, does the job for less. If your ductwork runs through the attic, foam can make more sense, and I'll tell you which way I'd go.

What happens after you reach out

Here's how a job goes with us, from your first call to the last walk-through. Each step has a reason behind it, so you'll know what's coming before it happens.

  1. 1

    Call or send the form

Call (337) 474-1146 or fill out our contact form and tell us what's going on, whether it's a hot room, cold floors or old insulation. We reply within one business day to set a time.

  2. 2

    Get a free on-site estimate

I come out myself, look at the space and write down what I find. The estimate is free with no obligation, and the price turns on what's up there now, what has to come out and which material fits.

  3. 3

    We check permits and work

Before work starts, we check with the city or parish office that covers your address, and if the job needs a permit we apply for it and keep you posted. Our crew does the work with me or a lead installer on site.

  4. 4

See what we found and did

When we finish, we show you photos from the attic, walls or crawl space so you can see what we found and what we did without crawling in yourself. Then we answer any questions before we leave.
